DCH4 Trail# 2156 – 10/30/21

Next DCH4 trail – Halloween 🎃 trail!!

 

Date: Saturday 10/30 at 3PM

Cost: $6

 

Location : intersection of Floyd and Wheeler Avenue- plenty of street Parking. Approximate address 3945 Wheeler Ave .

 

Directions: from I395 to Duke Street East, take right on Floyd. Park on Floyd or Wheeler.

 

Metro: blue/yellow line to King Street station. Check bus schedules for rides to start.

 

Other details: A to A’. Prelube and on in at Port City Brewery. Bring dry shoes and layers. Walkers about 3 miles , runners 4-5. Dog and stroller friendly options . Costumes not required but highly recommended. Dogs allowed outside at brewery, bring credit card, ID and smart phone for easy ordering. Food truck on premises but not sure what is scheduled for that day.

DCH4 Trail# 2155 – 9/25/21

What: First and possibly only DCH4-DCPH4 Hank Dietles triathlon. Bike 15K, R*n or walk 5K and drink 1L.

 

When: Sept 25th. Start for DCPH4 will be noon. Start for the DCH4 trail will be 3 PM.

 

Where: Grosvenor Metro for both trails. Look for chalk pointing to a field southeast of the station. There might be free parking on the street. I will get back to you on that.

 

Cost: free

 

Hares: No Child Left Behind, FeyLAY! and Standard Deviant.

 

Misc: Bring some cash on the bike trail if you want to stop for fancy beer. Your hares will provide a refreshing beverage check but save your hash cash for Hank Dietle’s Tavern. We want them to remain in business.

Location: Armistead Boothe Park 520 Cameron Station Blvd, Alexandria VA 22304

Theme: “Best Beer Check EVER!!” Trail

Hares: Tour duh Whore and Pay Per VIew

Other Deets: A to A’. Run/walker trails. Bring a dry bag, lots of shiggy in the area depending on how the hare feel. Always walker and dog friendly. Bring ID on trail! Bring plastic money on trail!

Cost: 0.00 but pay as you go – bring ID and credit/debit card, pay as you go

Driving Directions: Take I495 to Van Dorn Street Exit, Head North on Van Dorn Street. Take a right on S. Pickett Street. Right on Cameron Station Blvd. The park is on your right before you get to the Samual Tucker Elementary School.

Metro: Go to Van Dorn Street Station on the Blue line. It’s a mile from the metro. Or uber. Or take a DASH busor MetroBus. Check schedule.

Parking is in the auxiliary Stadium lot close to the soccer fields. Closest metro is Stadium-Armory.

Theme: Summer Smash: OFH3 Year Ofs: Best Jello Shots
When: August 14: 2:00 – Pack away 2:30 *NOTE Special Start Time*
Hares: Ass Wide Shut, Sister Angry Dragon, Just Aaron, Just Eric
Hash Cash: $5 ($10 if you’re staying for hot dogs and burgers after)
Distance: A to A-prime, Runners/Eagle: ~6.5, Walkers/Turkey: ~5, Shiggy: 2, Stroller friendly? Ish, Dog Friendly? Ish
Detrails: South for OFH3, North for DCH4, West for BAH3, perfect for all three! We’re celebrating the summer heat with some cool drinks, a mix of neighborhoods and park, and some other third thing I can’t think of at the moment. Expect 3-4 drink stops, depending on which trail you do! We’ll finish it up with a BBQ and Jello Shots for the after, so bring your best Jello shots for everyone to try! Bring a chair for the after!
On-After: 6 Painted Lady Way, Clarksburg.
(Parking at the A-Prime isn’t the best. The start is a .4 mile from the end)

REMINDER!! Gather at 1:00pm. Pack away at 1:30pm

Support local beer and get yer run on!

METRO UPDATE!! West Hyattsville metro is closed. There are shuttle busses provided at Ft. Totten. Plan your travel accordingly. 

Start: West Hyattsville Metro. Leave yer car at home. Follow marks to start in parking lot. Bring ID and credit card.

Hare: Deaf Lesbian

Rally at 1pm. On Out at 1:30pm sharp!

Trail about 6 miles. No checks.

We will hit up 5 breweries, rain or shine, pandemic be damned. Hare will lay flour to all and sweep pack. End circle upstairs at The Public Option.

There will be a patch challenge! (That is if they arrive on time).

Take Metro home via Rhode Island Av/Brentwood Metro.

DCH4 Trail #2149: 7/17/21 10am MVH3 Invasion

Location: Blueberry Cohousing Common House 9701 Farmside Place, Vienna, VA

Theme: Find your thrill at Blueberry Hill (Cohousing)

Hare: Naturerunner

Trail: Trail set by 10am hash standard time, circle up at about 10:15am, pack away after instructions, intros, song, etc. There will be two walker trails and a runner trail. One walker trail will be OK for dirt road strollers. Great shiggy for runners and a tiny bit for one of the walker trails. There will even be a BEER CHECK!!! Shiggy level could get to 6 out of 10

Cost: Free, but a small donation for the food would be appreciated.

Safety: We strongly encourage all wankers to bring a phone on trail with them. Just don’t lose it in a creek like Dyke Tyson.

Miscellaneous Notes: As usual, bring dry shoes, water, and clothes in a small bag, not your airport suitcase. Remember hats, sunscreen, bug spray, and bring water.

ON-AFTER PARTY: On after will include tortilla chips and dips, fajitas, beans, corn on the cob, margaritas, beer, and watermelon punch. There will be an outdoor area with slip n’ slide, dining area inside with tables for all, showers, and downstairs area with a pool table and foosball table.

To Receive Credit for Trail: Show up at start time and make sure to sign in!

Or, for continued A.S.S. hashing: Post pictures showing that you were on trail to the Mount Vernon H3 Facebook page or to MVH3.MM@gmail.com. Post or send email by midnight on Sunday for trail credit.

DCH4 Trail 7/3/21 – Another Dam Trail

Where: Burnt Mills West Special Park, one driveway south of 10700 Columbia Pike (aka Rte 29; aka Colesville Road), north of Silver Spring, MD

 

A to A; Doggie friendly (with leash for road crossings); not stroller friendly

 

Runners and Walkers Trails. With rain in the forecast Thursday and Friday, there “might” be some mud…

 

When: Saturday, July 3, 2021; 3pm

 

Hares: Pervarotti, Count Crackula

 

Cost: $0; 1 Beer check; cheese puffs; BYO everything else

 

From DC Beltway – I-495, cumming from the West: Take exit 30A, to merge onto US-29N/Colesville Road north toward Columbia.  Go north for 1.5 miles to bottom of hill, and immediately after crossing the bridge for the Northwest Branch, with a dam to your left, turn left into the parking lot near the dam. Park and Hash. (parking is also available across the street at 10701 Columbia Pike, at Burnt Mills East Special Park) If you see the Trader Joe’s on your right, you have gone a bit too far.  **FYI: When you cross the bridge, Colesville Rd becomes Columbia Pike—they are both Rte. 29.

From DC Beltway – I-495, cumming from the East: Take exit 29 for MD-193W (north)/University Blvd to Wheaton. After 0.5 miles, right at the third light on Colesville Road/Rte. 29, go 0.9 miles to bottom of hill, and immediately after crossing the bridge for the Northwest Branch, with a dam to your left, turn left into the parking lot. Park and Hash. (parking is also available across the street at 10701 Columbia Pike, at Burnt Mills East Special Park) If you see the Trader Joe’s on your right, you have gone too far.

From the north, proceed south on Rte. 29 (you can take Rte. 200/Inter-county Connector to Rte 29). From the intersection with Rte. 200 (ICC), go south on Rte. 29/Columbia Pike for 4 miles. About a mile after New Hampshire Ave, you will see a Trader Joe’s and then a gas station on your left, make a right into the parking lot just before the bridge. Park and hash. (parking is also available across the street at 10701 Columbia Pike, at Burnt Mills East Special Park)

On-After: The 4 Corners Pub; 10111 Sutherland Rd, Silver Spring, MD; at the intersection of Rte. 29 and University Blvd.; 301-593-2900
