One Trail for runners and walkers will be about 3.5 miles. About 30 yards on sidewalk and 60 yards on a primary path, but the rest of trail is on a secondary path or mostly off-trail. You should be able to stay dry for the stream crossings.(unless it’s raining, pobrecito…)

Rocket Socket and O.T.IS. will do a trail at 3:15 on Zoom. The hares will share a photo of a landmark. When the pack identifies the location, the hares will go to that location. All photo checks are potential shot checks depending on the thirstiness of the hares and pack. Please save all violations for the end circle.

Do to the oncoming Apocalypse, DCH4 is canceling trail this Sat 3/21. We will reevaluate on a week to week basis.
As of now, MD and DC bars and restaurants are going to be closed anyway. Beer stores will soon follow and beer may be hard to come by anyway.

Trail Deets: A to A’. Limited parking at end. Bring a dry bag and layers since we will be having a bon fire after the sun goes down. Dog and stroller friendly options. Dogs must be on leash at on-in as we do not have a fenced yard.

There will be a combination of woods and pavement on both trails (more woods than pavement). Both trails are dog on leash (a must) and Spawn (on foot, backpack or stroller) friendly.

Other Trail Notes: Bring extra pair of clothes/towel/shoes whatever. There will be a bag vehicle.

Since it will be George Washington’s Official Birthday, we will be indulging in some of his favorite things on trail and at circle. Our 1^st President had a thing for spendy wine and anything/everything cherry. He also loved raisins, walnuts, hazelnuts and apples. But don’t expect a huge spread. This is DCH4 not MVH3.

Also, Since it is George Washington’s official Birthday, the Mt. Vernon Estate is free admission for the day 9am-4pm. If anyone has time prior to trail, they might want to check it out. Dogs are allowed on leash onto the estate too.
