A to A’; Doggie friendly (with leash for road crossings); not stroller friendly

Where: Start is at 10700 Columbia Pike (Rte 29; aka Colesville Road), at Burnt Mills West Special Park (north of Silver Spring, MD; 1.5 miles north of DC Beltway);

From DC Beltway – I-495, cumming from the West: Take exit 30A, to merge onto US-29N/Colesville Road north toward Columbia.  Go north for 1.5 miles to bottom of hill, and immediately after crossing the bridge for the Northwest Branch, with a dam to your left, turn left into the parking lot near the dam. Park and Hash. (larger parking area is also available to the right, across the street at 10701 Columbia Pike, at Burnt Mills East Special Park) If you see the Trader Joe’s on your right, you have gone a bit too far.  **FYI: When you cross the bridge, Colesville Rd becomes Columbia Pike—they are both Rte. 29.

From DC Beltway – I-495, cumming from the East: Take exit 29 for MD-193W (north)/University Blvd to Wheaton. After 0.5 miles, right at the third light on Colesville Road/Rte. 29, go 0.9 miles to bottom of hill, and immediately after crossing the bridge for the Northwest Branch, with a dam to your left, turn left into the parking lot. Park and Hash. (larger parking area is also available to the right, across the street at 10701 Columbia Pike, at Burnt Mills East Special Park) If you see the Trader Joe’s on your right, you have gone too far.

From the north, proceed south on Rte. 29 (you can take Rte. 200/Inter-county Connector to Rte 29). From the intersection with Rte. 200 (ICC), go south on Rte. 29/Columbia Pike for 4 miles. After you see the Trader Joe’s and then a gas station on your left, make a right into the parking lot just before the bridge. Park and hash. (larger parking area is also available on the left, across the street at 10701 Columbia Pike, at Burnt Mills East Special Park)

Details: Depending on interest, we can have a pickup hash where a random person gets a bag of flour and attempts to get us to our next destination. If you catch the initial hare, you become the next hare. Technology encouraged (because we really want to get to the drinking establishments). Or we could just do a leisurely walk to Twin Valley Distillers & True Respite. Also, this is a farewell to Saint Row Brewing. Apparently they’re changing locations.

Theme: Just Another Excuse to Drink and Follow Flour to Find More Libations

Where: Franconia-Springfield Metro Station

Start Directions: The outdoor park and ride lot diagonal to the bus bays if the weather is good. Inside the 6th floor parking garage by the elevators if the weather is shitty.

Hares: Cup Dispenser, Screeching Eargasm, and Just Mackenzie

Hash Cash: $6

Trail Description: Trail will be A-A, runners 5-ish and walkers 3-ish. Most of trail will be laid live, so don’t piss off the hares or they will make the runners closer to 10 miles and the walkers less than 2 miles. Shiggy will be less than 1.69 for both trails if the weather is good, but 10.69 if the weather is snowy or icy. Bring a chair for circle, vessel for booze (contrary to her name Cup Dispenser will NOT have extra drinking cups for wanks who don’t bring their vessel), and snowshoes, ice skates or X-country skis if the weather is wintery. Everything will be outdoors, so dress accordingly. On after to be decided by the pack after circle: there are plenty of places willing to feed and lubricate you in the Springfield area.

Other details: PLEASE RSVP – we have no clue what to expect with trail being on a holiday. The prelube/end location is the end of MVH3. If you don’t have a life, spend your day off drinking with friends by making it a double header. DCH4 will be a casual stroll checking out the neighborhood lights. More than likely will have a bit of “holiday spirits” on trail. Dry trail, bring a flashlight just in case.
