Good news folks, while the mask mandate for Virginia is ending before this trail date, and we can stop bothering vaccinated people about their masks outdoors, unvaccinated hashers are still expected to wear their masks in circle and/or maintain their distance.

Everyone should still have their mask with them at start/end, and maybe soon we’ll be on the ball enough to start doing on-afters again!!!

DCH4 Trail #2145: 5/15/21 1pm onwards

May 12, 2021 by LateNite DriveThru Leave a Comment

Start: 6400 Beulah Street Alexandria VA 22310 – Back of parking lot by the picnic tables

Theme : San Isidro Day – Bailemos Chotis!
Time: by 1PM on Saturday, Nov 14 through Sunday, Nov 15.

Cost: $0, BYOB but there will be a beer/limonada check during certain hours on Saturday

Trail Deets: Chulapos y Chulapas, it’s time to dance the Chotis in the streets of Madrid! Can’t get there this year? We have our own San Isidro Festival in Alexandria. Have no idea what the hare is rambling about, google “San Isidro patron saint of Madrid”, Chotis, Chulopos/as. Kudos to those that dress appropriately.

Trail will be ready by 1pm on Saturday. If you’re on trail Saturday afternoon, expect some rosquillas y limonada. Low on the shiggy meter but PI protection recommended. Runners trail 4-5 miles, Walkers 2-3 miles.

  1. DCH4 is still iso-hashing so show up when you please but be mindful of crowds. Virginia is not requiring mask outdoors at this point but it’s advised if in a crowded area (which will be a low chance on this trail). Bring a mask on trail just in case

Getting there:

Driving: From I495, take Van Dorn Street Exit. Go south on Van Dorn Street. Take a right on Franconia Road. Left on Beulah Street. Look for “Alexandria Braces” just past the Franconia Fire Station. Turn into that parking lot.

Metro: Franconia/Springfield and FFX Connector Bus 310. Or go to Van Dorn Street and walk/uber to start location. Both on blue line.

Need Hares!

April 22, 2021 by LateNite DriveThru 2 Comments

Listen up half minds! As of today (4/22/21) we have no more hares for the rest of 2021. Please sign up to hare, or there will be no trail. Contact the hareraiser Late Nite Drive Thru (latenitedrivethru@gmail.com) or your Grand Master Ass Spelunker (ass.spelunker.h3@gmail.com) if you would like to hare.

That is all, you can now go back to your regularly drunken lives.

DCH4 Trail #2143: 4/3/21 1pm onwards – An Eggless Omelet for Easter

April 1, 2021 by LateNite DriveThru Leave a Comment

Start: Behind 14015 New Hampshire Ave, Colesville, MD 20904
Hares: Extra Creamy Dog Crap
Trail: Flat, Dry, No Shiggy, all on gentle groomed trails. In fact, the hare will coat the trail with fluffy pink bunny slippers. So if you’re not on bunny slippers you know you’re lost. Runners trail with walkers shortcut. Beverage check and beverages at the end. If the Easter Bunny (hare) is in a good mood there might be some easter eggs on the trail.
Friendlies: Dogs on leash & strollers all good
Start Location: Parking lot behind 14015 New Hampshire Ave, Colesville, MD 20904. extra parking at Colesville Local Park 614 Hobbs Dr.
Start Time: Chalk talk at 3PM HST (No, I’m not getting up early for you wankers.)
Hare Phone: ECDC (249-644-4477)
SPECIAL NOTE: This is not exactly an iso-trail, but keep in mind there is still a pandemic. Bring a mask and observe social distancing. Bring something to drink from (like your vessel), and something to sit on. (The CDC says that being within three feet of a COVID infected person for 10 min. gives you a 50% chance of being infected. Doubling the distance cuts the risk by 75%, cutting the time in half cuts the risk by 50%, wearing a mask cuts the risk by 10%. For any of this to do you any good you need to find an infected person. If the are 5000* active cases in Montgomery county that is 0.5% of the population. Multiply 0.005 by the number of people present to get you chances of encountering an infected person. That is probably much greater than your chances of getting laid. If you need help with this, ask Math Sucks.) (*this is a guess, if you know a more accurate number let me know.)
