DCH4 Trail# 2286 – 9/20/25 @ 10am

September 17, 2025 by Ass Spelunker Leave a Comment

MD Renn Faire Pub crawl, this is inside of Renn Faire. Unless you have tickets, you can’t get in.

Reminder of the early start time of 10am!!!

This is the Renn Fair. So traffic is usually bad heading to the parking lot, so plan accordingly.

This schedule is for meeting up and having central locations to be, if you want to go do or see anything in particular, please do! There are so many amazing vendors at faire! I have thrown in what I am interested in doing and will be attending, please reach out if you have questions, ideas, or want suggestions!

This year’s story line in brief: The festival focuses on Henry the VIII throughout his 6 wives, and the festival is the year 1539 when Henry VIII is looking for his 4th wife. He has the famous painter Hans Holbein with him this year in Revel Grove to paint the most eligible brides of Europe. Plus, it’s Celtic weekend!

I will make a Facebook post in the group for rides to try to link those with space in their cars and those who need rides. Please text me at 240-672-8819 if you need a ride and don’t have Facebook.

Caravaning option from PJ & PITA’s at 2503 Dennis Ave Silver Spring, MD, leaving by 09:30am to get to Renn Faire.

Pub crawl start time: 10:30 / 11am depending on renn faire traffic. Prelube in parking lot!

Pub 1: O’Shuck’s
Arrival – 12:30pm – PJ will be here until 12:30 since its close to the entrance
literally the first pub you come across at the faire, pro tip: go to the back of the pub for a shorter line.
Has food as well – mainly oysters and seafood

Pub 2: White Hart Tavern 12:30-2pm (keep on the road to left after O’shuck’s)
Musical Entertainment: The Langer’s Ball
Optional nearby: 1:30pm Shakespeare’s Skum (Shakespeare in 30 or less improv) at The Globe Theater stage performing Othello
Extra credit nearby: Wine Garden – has the most variety of drinks at the faire

Pub 3: The Boar’s Head 2-3pm (walk past all the food vendors and keep going straight until you see the pub on the right)
Optional: 3pm DeBracey Productions Equestrian Show & Joust at Jousting Arena – will need to get there early to get good seats!
2 extra credit beers stalls nearby to the left of the arena!

Pub 4: The Dragon 4pm to whenever we feel like it
(Go down Mary’s Dale Way and keep to the right, when you see a church, keep going its just past it over the hill)

Make a last stop at the White Hart on our way out!

Pro tips:
* Pj has the tickets at will call and will be near the front to hand them out – text or call PJ 240-672-8819 on day of to get in touch – please be nice and remember it’s my birthday weekend 🙂
* It is outside, there is some shade and the joust arena can get quite a bit of sun, plan accordingly
* Current weather predictions say: partly cloudy with high of 77 with low of 63
* This has always been a mainly cash event, I have always brought at least $200 to avoid the ATM lines and fees, that being said, more and more vendors are taking cards as well now.
* Wear shoes/clothes you’re ok with getting dusty or muddy depending on the weather
* Pace yourselves, this is a marathon not a sprint and remember we are adults
* Renn faire parking line and traffic can take awhile, so plan accordingly
* Bees are a thing. Please know if you have an allergy and bring an epipen. Please don’t wear any scents that will attract them anymore then they will be to our drinks. They are not the cute kind.

Please reach out if you have questions! I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday at 11am!

On on,
PJ
